The Kiva Geodes, from the Amethyst Kingdom of the Rio Grande do Sul mountains of Brazil, are comprised of amethyst crystals, quartz crystals with amethyst phantoms, and thin needle-like quartz crystals which have a delicate calcite druse overlaid upon them. These geodes are between 24" and 25" high and between 9" and 10" across the middle (larger at the back". They are on the cover of one of the "Love Is In The Earth" series of books.
